Do I Need A Reason To Get Sick?

Dear Darryl,

Before you ever think of getting jiggy in an air-conditioned room again, you might wanna reconsider putting on some clothes. Or at least use a blanket. Even when you’re touching yourself. Please.

Now where’s the women when you need them?

Look at you now, you bedridden twit. Your initial flu has now progressed to an acute sinusitis. Dr. Chin was glad you did not catch the bird flu. But he sure did not expect sinusitis either.

This is just another reason for you not to fall ill while you are back home in Malaysia:

Your constant need to blow your nose irritated the hell out of the man outside your bedroom. He could not wait to send you off to the Doc to make the sound all go away. He might still be mad each time he heard the sound of you blowing your nose after your trip to the Doc two days ago, judging his irritatingly loud sighs (with a couple of aiyahs chipped in) while he was outside on the couch reading his papers. I take pity on you as you cannot relieve your nose openly like you would usually, for fear he might go bonkus.

It seems like you have no choice but to do it very silently under the blanket while the bedroom’s door closed.

It is strange when pity and concern are no longer felt when you fall ill. It used to just piss your bosses off. The fact that you now feel it in your own family, it is ironic, isn’t it? Anyway, get well. Pronto!

Your loving self,
Darryl

Down For A Day

Blogsome was down for almost all day. I had so many things in my head since last night. I guess it was just a good thing Blogsome was down; otherwise I would have went against my own blogging tagline: No Bitchin’. Guaranteed.

Things have been going on pretty messy around the house lately. Just praise the Lord for no broken bones and TVs being tossed around yet, though that would be an interesting sight to see. Because I would most likely be the one doing the breaking and tossing.

In the meantime, please get yourself the latest album, In The Wake Of Determination by Story Of The Year, who has brought you great classics like Sidewalks. Sleep was the most beautiful track in their most recent album which got me piecing out the broken pieces of everything together to give my night rest.

I’m also in search for a new Wordpress-hosting service provider. Any help you could give would be well appreciated.

Peace. I’m out.

My World Upside Down

This woman couldn’t wait to tell the world about us when she confessed our awkward sleeping hours:

Mariah Carey [has] revealed she never gets out of bed before 5pm.
The stunning singer has confessed she stays awake at night and goes to sleep at 7am, and eats her main meal around 2am.
She explained: “I live in my own little universe”.

She shares the same universe as mine, more like the same bed.

I wish I could survive till 7am, but her constant need of serving herself on me like a buffet would just make me dead by 6, which usually followed by a series of nightmares replayed over and over since my wife Mischa met this pathetic druggie look-a-like.

I had such beautiful sleeps when:

But the world crumbled on me when:

NOTE:
The article is merely an opinion of a Malaysian dude following the controversial news. He’s just dumbfounded as to why all the unnecessary tension between the two countries.
To all Australian citizens, you have been repeatedly asked to view the Australian Government’s SmartTraveller’s Guide on TV ads. Have you?

Nguyen Controversy Made Singapore PM Proud

Angie visited the Becks at their England home. While Vic and Dave went into the kitchen to pour her a glass of their finest wine, she placed a C4 under their couch. Unfortunately she got busted by one of their security dudes. The Becks sued. The Pitts cried.

On a serious note, here is the real scenario:

Nguyen Tuong Van. 25-year old. Australian. Trafficked about 400g of heroin into Singapore. Arrested. Hanged. The End. Finito.

But instead…

The Australian people got pissed; and decided to shit all over Singapore.

Australian Prime Minister, John Howard:

“… It will have an effect on the [Australia-Singapore] relationship on a people-to-people, population-to-population basis.”

Australian Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock:

“[Nguyen’s death sentence is] a most unfortunate, barbaric act that is occurring.”

“… drug trafficking carries a mandatory death sentence in Singapore…” the exact words announce on the flight’s PA system while flying into Singapore. You have been warned. There was no excuse for the crime committed.

Nguyen’s story was indeed a sob one. Yet again, heroic. He was trafficking enough drugs to make 26,000 doses, for the sake of paying off his brother’s debts. He was well-aware of the consequences and risks from the minute he strapped $1.3 million worth of heroin onto his body; but still he carried on the job that eventually cost him his life.

Singapore was not as kind as her Indonesian neighbor, whom in the eleventh hour decided to free 24-year old Australian model Michelle Leslie from her 15 year jail term for possessing two Ecstasy pills in her bag. Remember Schapelle Corby?

Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong in an ABC interview:

“… it’s an enormous amount in terms of the misery it can cause to addicts, to their families, to the destruction of lives, and we have had previous cases similarly with young people with similiar quantities and similar circumstances, and we have allowed the law to take its course.”

A commendable decision by Lee has unfortunately led the Australian public to accuse Singapore of being “barbaric”; but in fact these drug laws have been enacted since 1975 and nobody has ever accused it of being ever “barbaric”. Why now?

Because a fellow Australian was in another country’s jurisdiction, they so decided to make it their problem. Australians are sometimes very passionate about the little matters that they shut their minds, not knowing that Singapore is not susceptible to pressure from outside parties around the world after being led by their previous iron-fist Premiere, Lee Kuan Yew. However many demonstrations they might decide to throw outside the Singapore embassy in Canberra, they have to understand the little or no authority they have over Singapore’s final decision, as the crime was not commited in Australia in the first place.

There was no need for Melbourne lawyer Robert Richter to emotionally lash out at Foreign Minister Alexander Downer, now that the execution has ended. The dead can’t walk. Scrutinies and arguments, hence are not needed.

In other words, get over it!
